Job Description:-

A Technical Writer/Documentation Specialist to work closely with the Development, Product Management, Solution services, Sales, Training departments and the Management for the writing, editing, and producing in various output formats the technical and functional documentation/content for all our products and services.

The job Functions include :-

•        Individually develop and update technical documentation/content adhering to format, content and style guidelines.

•        Produce content in User Manuals, desktop publishing, online help, and multi-media formats.

•        Create and maintain user documentation such as instructional manuals, video tutorials, and product reference guides.

•        Ensure accuracy, completeness and standards compliance of documentation.

•        Compose content based on information provided by subject matter experts and company/client policies. Conduct interviews with various users and technical staff to gather data for documentation.

•        Adhere to proper English writing and grammar rules.

•        Research and evaluate new documentation tools and methods.

•        Maintains a current internal documentation library. Establish and/or maintain a document control system to track documentation changes and updates.

•        Other tasks and responsibilities, as assigned by the management.

•        Create various standard Document Templates like Sales Proposals, Minutes of Meeting, Manuals, Business Blueprints etc.

•        Able to prepare various Management Information Reports.

REQUIREMENTS :

•        A pertinent Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Technical Communications, Computer Science or related field with an emphasis on technical documentation, and 2 years’ work experience. An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience may be considered.

•        High level of expertise in Adobe Technical Communications Suite (Acrobat, Captivate, Photoshop), Microsoft (Office, PowerPoint, Publisher, Visio).

•        Advanced capabilities in screen capture and graphics modification software (e.g., Photoshop, Jasc Paint Shop Pro).

•        Experience with writing white papers, web page copy, knowledgebase articles, etc. and/or a working knowledge of Enterprise Content Management.

•        Proven ability to self-edit work effectively as well as to write clear, concise and comprehensive documentation on complex, multi-level technical issues, including storyboard creation and development.

•        Excellent organization, strong written/verbal communications and writing styles with an eye for detail.

•        Experience in effectively formatting/editing technical publications to include writing, editing and illustration.

•        Ability to grasp complex software, learn quickly and work within tight deadlines.
