Support Engineer

Job Accountabilities and Responsibilities

·       Ensure agreed objectives of technical infrastructure projects under network, security and server  teams are met.

·       Plan, lead and Monitor the Maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of specialized WAN – Routers, Switches, Firewall, Network Monitoring systems, Log management and other security systems.

·       Provide assistance in the Set-up of Network Infrastructure, Track WAN lines, and interact with Infrastructure Service provider.

·       Capacity Management of WAN links - Study and Recommend increase / decrease bandwidth of WAN links.

·       Monitor network traffic on External and Internal zone, report and escalate on malicious network traffic.

·       Establishing and managing data and voice networks [WAN/LAN/ADSL] and computing infrastructure, using appropriate internal and external resources that securely, consistently, effectively and cost efficiently facilitate the delivery of information services to all customer groups in line with strategy and ITIL service management best practice.

·       Providing technical expertise in all areas of managing the Wide Area Network connecting all branches and internet links.

·       Building relationships with external suppliers.

·       Identify, research, and resolves infrastructure technical problems and concerns of customers.

·       Administer and maintain specialized applications systems like Kiosks.

·       Assist in the procurement of infrastructure resources.

·       Supervise, execute and adhere to the back policies and strategies.

·       Implementing the IT security policy in line with guidelines.

·       Tracking operational performance across technical areas.

·       Researching and implementing new technologies that align with guidelines.

Education level

·       Bachelor Degree in Computer Technology.

Professional qualifications

·       Certifications such as CCIE/CCNP/CCNA/CCSA/CCSE

Work Experience

·       Minimum of 5 years experience in a IT infrastructure support role with at least 1 years of supervisory experience with strong, in-depth technical knowledge of network and firewall architectures and protocols, particularly Cisco, ISA server, TCP/IP, MPLS, VLAN and VPN approaches, desktops, servers, Windows flavors etc.

·       Prior experience in a Government / semi-government entity highly desirable.

Specialist Skills/Competencies Required for the Role

·       Familiar with  ITIL service management techniques.

·       Knowledge of an IT project management tools.

·       Strong interpersonal skills having managed small teams of technical staff, through to contract negotiation and SLA development.

·       Expertise and mastery over areas like: LAN, WAN, WLAN, ROUTER, SWITCH, FIREWALL, VPN,LEASED LINE,ISDN,DDR configuration and administration / DNS , DHCP, TCP/IP, SNMP, POP3, SMTP

·       Setting up domains, DNS, Internet protocols.

·       Setting up and maintaining network and web-server security/firewalls.

·       Windows administration.

·       Mail server [MS-Exchange] configuration and administration.

·       Knowledge of Deep Penetration Testing experience-Network-level, Host-level, Application-level.

·       Exposure to Vulnerability Assessments-Network-level, Host-level, Application-level.

IT System Specialist

Job Accountabilities and Responsibilities

·       Analysis, design, development and testing of software applications.

·       Managing Modifications and operational supervision of software applications.

·       Managing the Implementation, customisation and support of third party software applications.

·       Creation of project / system specifications including but not limited to business metrics.

·       Management of / interaction with software product vendors.

·       Management of / interaction with resource vendors.

·       Data migration & ETL activities.

·       Design / development of UIs / DB structures / minor systems in line with defined standard & guidelines.

·       Working closely with ITHD to meet SLA commitments.

·       Developing on-demand reporting systems under guidance from the Manager-IS.

Education level

·       A professional qualification in Engineering (Computer Science) + additional professional certifications.

Professional qualifications

·       Formal training on various development environments ranging from Sharepoint / VB / C++ / ASP.Net / LAMP stack etc.

Work Experience

·       More than 5 years of hands-on experience with various web based development languages.

·       More than 3 years of hands-on experience on installing / configuring web servers.

·       Oracle / SQL server scripting > 4 years.

·       Oracle / Sql server installation / basic administration > 2 years.

·       Additionally experience in implementing middleware would be an advantage.

·       Thorough knowledge of all key elements of an IT department.

·       Strong communication skills.

·       Formal exposure to SDLC techniques.

Specialist Skills/Competencies Required for the Role

·       Familiarity with change and configuration management utilities, concepts and procedures.

·       Experience in MIS Reporting / Data Warehousing.

Business Analyst

The primary responsibilities include:

·       Analysis and planning of information technology projects.

·       Reengineering of business processes in line with best-in-class international practices.

·       Gathering business requirements for systems and applications & ensuring alignment with guidelines and strategy.

·       Data modeling, / preparation of requirement specifications / functional specifications.

·       Development of testing plans.

·       Evaluation of suitable software packages and vendors to support various business activities.

Education level:   

·       MBA / Bachelors from a recognized institute / university.

·       Additional qualifications in Information Systems / Technology.

Professional qualifications:

Work Experience

·       6-8 years of experience in a Government Consulting / Government environment are pre-requisites for this role. Experience should cover:

o    Business Process Management / Operations > 2 years.

o    Business Analysis > 4 years.

o    Project Management > 3 years.

o    People Management > 3 years.

Specialist Skills/Competencies Required for the Role

Business Analysis:

·       Should be well-conversant with software development life cycle and should be able to lead a team to analyze, document and communicate the business requirement in the area of customer service Government sections in a systematic way.

·       Knowledge of UAE Federal E-System guidelines, inter-Ministerial protocols, regulatory requirements is expected. Good knowledge of workflow procedures related to enhancing customer service / experience.

·       Knowledge of SSAD / OOAD (Entity relationship diagram, data flow diagram, control-state diagram) is expected.

Project Management

·       Should be able to manage small projects with tight deadlines and budgets. Knowledge of project estimation, risk analysis and formal project planning is essential.

·       Should be able to work with and appraise people of different demographic profiles. 

Technical

·       Familiarity with Graphical User Interfaces developed using client-server / web technology.

·       Familiarity with web architecture.

·       Ability to use Unix / Windows platforms.

·       Familiarity with SQL statements and enterprise RDBMS. 

·       Familiarity with both Object-oriented analysis and SSAD.
