Minimum 3 years of costing experience in Forged, Cast & Machined components

JOB PROFILE

Roles and  Responsibilities
·         Set cost targets for new & modified purchased Forged, Cast & Machined components (variable & supplier tooling) by applying the appropriate cost method to support Product Team business cases and during source package development
Change Notice Cost Analysis & Sourcing Support
·         Evaluate engineering changes to establish technical cost for the change and identify the cost drivers for variable and supplier tooling for Forged, Cast & Machined components
·         Provide purchasing with support during supplier negotiations through analysis of supplier’s price breakdown detail and/or “should cost” analysis
·         Periodic Supplier visits to maintain & improve internal know-how of manufacturing processes & best practices
·         Identify potential cost optimization opportunities and support company technical cost reduction activities
·         Provide global component cost comparison analysis by working with System Cost Engineers from other regions
·         Develop the cost structure for component standardization plans
·         Negotiate component technical solution cost drivers with suppliers for variable cost & tooling
·         Negotiate Firm Price Contracts - breakdown tool fabrication & corresponding cost drivers for each tool in a detail tool line up
·         After tools are fabricated, Verify Asset Existence, Location & Value for each tool in a detail tool line up
·         Construct & update component Micro-Standards with respect to variable cost & supplier tooling
·         Research Low Volume Flexible Mfg. technologies, construct appropriate cost models, support P&S developing strategic suppliers

Key Skills
·         6-10 years of experience in Production of Engineering products/ Auto Components with a Tier1 or OEM
·         Minimum 3 years of costing experience in Forged, Cast & Machined components
·         Costing and Forged, Cast & Machined components manufacturing process experience
·         Activity based costing experience
·         Negotiation and collaboration with global suppliers
·         Good presentation and MS office skills
·         Good communication skills

4-6 Years of Powertrain NVH experience.

JOB PROFILE

Roles and  Responsibilities
·         Carry out virtual validation on Power train components and systems for NVH performance including but not limited to PT NVH Model Build, Normal modes, Forced Frequency Response, PT Bending, Engine Mount NVH performance, radiated noise, etc.
·         Optimization for weight reduction and performance improvement.
·         Execute the plan for project deliverables as per the schedule.
·         Conduct weekly review with the team and the customer on the projects
·         Work with design and engineering teams to ensure that the P/T meets performance requirements
·         Cross functional team co-ordination on development of design solutions to meet program objectives
·         Communicate to the team lead on daily basis on the project status and the achievements.

Key Skills
·         Expertise in NVH Fundamentals
·         Min. 3 years of experience in working with engine and/or transmission product development.
·         Knowledge of Powertrain systems, sub-systems and components, and their functions.
·         Complete understanding of engine, transmission, driveline layout and integration process.
·         Good communication skills
Desirable Skills
·         Powertrain System level model build for NVH analysis
·         Perform virtual validation including but not limited to Normal Modes, Forced Frequency Response, PT Bending, Engine Mount NVH performance, radiated noise, driveline imbalance, etc.
·         PT NVH testing experience will be a plus.
·         Optimization for weight reduction and performance improvement.

Knowledge of tools required:
·         Must have working experience in nonlinear analysis Software like MSC NASTRAN, LMS, ABAQUS, Optistruct .
·         Hands - on experience in Hyper Mmesh, SimLab & ANSA/Metapost.
