Risk Manager


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
A) FINANCIAL/MONETARY: (REVENUE/COST):
• Prepare and manage Risk budget.
• Ensure proper expenditure of allocated budget
• Ensure that financial risks and exposures are identified
• Prepare necessary proposals to rectify and minimize financial risks

B) CUSTOMER/CLIENT: (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL):
• Liaise with the risk owners in the design, monitoring and implementation of action plans to mitigate and/or control risks
• Follow-up with the risk owners for implementation of stated action plans.
• Escalate non adherence to specified timelines for action plans’ implementation

C) SUPPLIERS/ VENDORS: (REGULATORS/OTHERS):
• Analyze the impact of regulatory changes, advise and provide guidance to the relevant business units with regards to compliance

D) PEOPLE/EMPLOYEE: (UNIT & BANK WIDE):
• Train, mentor, and coach the risk management team to increase level of skills and performance quality.
• Motivate subordinates to maintain job satisfaction and control attrition rate.
E) INTERNAL PROCESSES/PRACTICES: (PRODUCTIVITY/QUALITY/COMPLIANCE/REPORTING):
• Assist in the development and updating of the risk framework in light with the management philosophy, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Generate analysis on a regular basis to identify potential risks.
• Ensure that the Business Unit’s risk management policies, risk assessment profile and their application are adequately documented.
• Create and increase the level of risk and compliance awareness in the various units of the business.
• Assist in establishing methods to improve efficiency and quality of services, and to the vulnerability to risks.
EXPERIENCE: 5 years experienced in risk management in insurance or banking industries.

SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES:
• Understanding of Risk Management framework.
• SOX, BASEL III will be an added advantage.
• Mathematical ability.
• Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of agency distribution and sales processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills.
• Excellent managerial, organizational influencing and communication skills, oral and written.


Marketing Manager

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
A) FINANCIAL/MONETARY: (REVENUE/COST):
• Prepare and manage Marketing budget.
• Ensure proper expenditure of allocated budget
• Maximize on advertizing campaign returns
• Prepare marketing AOP

B) CUSTOMER/CLIENT: (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL):
• Demonstrate effectiveness in holding conversations with customers, customer-focused product development and outreach
• Managing internal / external PR & communication consulting firms and contractors.
C) SUPPLIERS/ VENDORS: (REGULATORS/OTHERS):
• Working with product development teams to manage new product development.
• Coordinate the efforts of a large team of diverse creative specialists.

D) PEOPLE/EMPLOYEE: (UNIT & BANK WIDE):
• Manage the marketing team to ensure achieving marketing targets
• Train, mentor, and coach the marketing team to increase level of skills and performance quality.
• Motivate subordinates to maintain job satisfaction and control attrition rate.
• Maintain close and smooth coordination with operation, sales, finance and business development department.

E) INTERNAL PROCESSES/PRACTICES: (PRODUCTIVITY/QUALITY/COMPLIANCE/REPORTING):
• Researching and evaluating new product opportunities, demand for potential products, and customer needs and insights.
• Overall marketing strategy and execution of plans for the existing products.
• Managing launch campaigns for new products.
• Managing distribution channels for products.
• Ensuring effective, branded marketing communications including the company website, print communication, and advertising.
• Managing media and marketing staff and external PR agencies.
• Analysis of the effectiveness of all marketing efforts.
• Review & Implement communication calendar/plan
• Achieve predetermined targets (KPIs)
• Project exposure/ profitability in relation to the predetermined targets,

WORK QUALIFICATION / CAPABILITIES:
Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and continuously improve methods, approaches, and departmental contribution. Commitment to continuous learning

EXPERIENCE:
• 10 years of progressively more responsible positions in marketing, preferably in a similar industry in two different firms
• Experience supervising and managing professional staff

SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES:
• Strong effective communicator.
• Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills.
• Expert in Internet and social media strategy with a demonstrated track record.
• Demonstrated ability to see the big picture and provide useful advice and input across the company.
• Ability to lead in an environment of constant change.
• Experience working in a flexible, employee empowering work environment.
• Familiarity and skill with the tools of the trade in marketing including PR, written communication, website development, market research, product presentation, , visual communication, and creative services.
• Experience in the global marketplace is a plus
