Primary Skill Requirement
1. Strong in Core Java (JDK1.4 onwards), SQL (Oracle/SQL Server), J2EE (EJB, JMS, MDBs etc), WLI 8. X and / or WLI 9.2.2. Familiarity with source code management tools like CVS, Harvest etc
2. Basic knowledge of Windows, UNIX platforms and exposure to development environments like Eclipse and My Eclipse. Exposure to logging framework like log4j etc.
3. Basic knowledge of SQLs (Joins, inner joins etc.) i.e. databases like Oracle, SQL Server and familiarity with Web Services
4. Applied experience on either Weblogic Integration 8.x or 9.2.2
Secondary Skill Requirement Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills are required

Responsibilities/Any other important criteria / consideration 1. Possess and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments
2. Responsible for daily communications to management and internal organizations regarding status of all assigned projects and tasks. Provides problem log (issue log) and system service request status to analysts, management, and business owners or users. Works with external organizations to gather requirements and resolve issues. (reworded to follow the format of SE II resp but with more responsibility by adding external organizations)
3. Perform or oversee the performance of Design to develop technical solutions from Analysis documents
4. Participates in the implementation of new systems including the integration of the new system
5. Assists in verifying installed systems to ensure that they adequately meet user requirements
6. Participates in physical design of data record data files and databases
7. Develops specifications, codes of new programs, creates new data structures, creates new job streams, and modifies existing programs, data structures, and job streams. All work is produced in accordance with established procedures, following departmental standards, guidelines and system development methodologies on all assigned projects and tasks, and includes mentoring others in their use
8. Develops test cases and test plans, creates the unit and system test environment, and conducts unit and system tests for new or modified programs and job streams
9. Submits work for review by technical and user staff and actively participates in reviewing others’ work and suggesting improvements. Reviews validate the application of sound programming and design techniques with strong level of proficiency
10. Prepares and maintains program and system documentation using established department artefact standards and methodologies. Mentor junior associates in proper documentation techniques
11. Performs in a Team Lead role coordinating the tasks and deliverables of one or more people as requested and mentors other associates as appropriate
12. Coordinates and guides resolution of day-to-day problems within the business segment; involves and guides other team members in their problem solving efforts
